Description: We invite you to stay at our comfortable 1 bedroom timber cabin which has no near neighbours, and is set in its own 4 acres of beautiful hillside land planted mainly with almond trees and left to grow in its natural state with many types of wildflowers and bushes. Situated approximately 25 km inland and 500 metres up in the hills above Malaga, the cabin offers a genuine Eco friendly self-catering holiday with electricity being provided by solar panels and rainwater harvesting for general use.
If you are looking for a different sort of holiday with peace and quiet (without the television), where you can enjoy the countryside and surroundings, and of course the sunshine, you have found the ideal place to visit.

The Accommodation
The cabin is fairly simply furnished and consists of 1 bedroom with double bed, a split level open plan living /dining area and kitchen with a full size butane gas cooker.
With this being an Eco-minded property in a region where water is scarce the washroom/WC has no shower or bath, just a large washbasin and all hot water is available using the gas cooker.
We recommend only using bottled water for drinking. There is butane stove/heater for use in the cooler evenings.
As we said earlier, there is no television so it is easy to relax, and forget everyday life. There are various games at the cabin or you could just bring a good book or just top up your tan during the summer months. Please bear in mind that the electricity is of low power and will not run items such as hairdryers etc. Water has to be used carefully, even toilet flushing probably only twice a day. This may seem strange to mention these things, but we want you to enjoy your holiday, not go away disappointed. So we think being as honest as possible about what is available, and what is not, is the best solution. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Method of Payment and Terms
The price for one week’s rental of the cabin between April 1st and October 31st is £150. No high or low season variations.
We will require a payment of £30 deposit (non refundable) to confirm your holiday booking dates paid directly into our bank account. Details of which will be forwarded to you after dates have been confirmed. The balance can be paid either into our bank account 2 weeks prior to your holiday date, or paid in cash (GBP or Euros) upon arrival.
We believe this to be the safest, simplest method of payment which incurs no charges.
Travel Arrangements
Please confirm your flight arrival time and airline details with us at least 1 month before the start date of your holiday.
Also please inform us of any changes to your arrival details as soon as possible.
If you do not wish to hire a car when you arrive, we can collect you upon arrival and return you to Malaga airport for departure for £20. And because of the remote location we will drive you into either of the local towns of Estacion de Cartama or Alora to collect your food and other supplies. Also giving you some time to explore the town.
If you do prefer to hire a car we can meet you at an arranged place in Estacion de Cartama and accompany you to the cabin.

There are many kilometres of tracks in the hills surrounding the cabin where you can walk virtually unrestricted, see the goat herders tending their flocks, take in the fantastic views, which include El Torcal and the Guadalhorce Valle. And for approximately 300 days of the year enjoy the sunshine and blue skies. There are buzzards, various birds of prey, geckos even the occasional wild boar, and many other types of wildlife to be seen depending on what time of year of you visit and how far you choose to walk.
