This is a spectacular unspoiled area of over 1700 acres of natural pine forest, grassland and lakes. The area includes part of the Ria Formosa nature reserve and is fronted by a 10km stretch of golden sands. There are several beaches near by, the neares one is Ancão within a 5 minute walk from the villa. Alternatively try further afield, Quinta do Lago beach, across a long wooden bridge across the nature reserve. On the other side a fantastic restaurant, golden dunes and miles of white sand. Golf - NearestCourses are four in Quinta do Lago, three more in the adjoining area of Vale de Lobo and one in Pinheiros Altos. All within a 5 minute drive from the villa. Available at the lake in Quinta do Lago there is sailing, a windsurfing school.
The local airport is Faro. The drive time from the airport is approx 20 minutes. Car hire is strongly recommended.
