Peyia is full of traditional Cypriot character. The oldest part of the village still shows eveidence of the original ways of Cypriot living. There are local shops , bakeries, supermarkets, butchers, florists, fruit and veg shops and restaurants situated in Peyia village. Whilst the village is hilly, the views all around are breathtaking, and looking out to sea on the way down is spectacular. Inevitably a car is probably a 'must have' in Peyia, although there is a good local taxi service available. Leave the car behind and take 5 minute walk up to Savvas grill, and explore Cypriot cuisine or even join in with the Cypriot dancing on designated evenings. Visit the Grande Cafe for a drink with the locals, you can even catch up on your emails here.
