Description: The building, dating back to 1600, was restored in 2009 maintaining its original spirit combining traditional aspects to modern comfort. The farmhouse is powered by renewable energie: a photovoltaic panel trackers are not visible from the house and a biomass plant for winter heating. The enormous entrance of pertinence of the guests apartment is represented by a beautiful chestnut door with large opaque glass to ensure privacy and light. With the aim of preserving as much as possible the essence of these beautiful rooms without hiding their original function, the arrangement of space has been kept unchanged. The large lounge, which at various times hosted the grindstones mill and wine cellar is huge and airy,with vaulted ceiling 4 meters heigh . Thanks to high ceiling and natural ventilation in summer, all the rooms are pleasantly cool. The small kitchen is very functional fully equipped by all household appliances: dishwasher, oven, electric stove in glass-ceramic, american coffee machine and it communicates with the lounge through a small service hatch window.The one bedroom, divided in the middle with a brick arch, creates two distinct areas. One side can be used as a reading and relaxing area. In the other side there is a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and satellite television. The apartment is located about 10 km from the Teatro del Silenzio, where every year in July, the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli, through her performances attracted a large audience from around the world. 5 km, crossing a beautiful hilly countryside, we reach the village of Casciana Terme, a wellness center, famous for its spa treatments. The surrounding is characterized by well-marked nature trails that connect the characteristic medieval villages included in a beautiful hilly landscape.
