Fuesta with its wonderful beach is only 25 mins drive away & is a lovely fishing village, from this village a ferry will take you to the beautiful white beaches of Eastern Algarve. A further 10 mins is the stunning Altura beach. For nature lovers there is a huge variety of wildlife to be seen at Ria Formosa nature Reserve, a protected area that stretches for many miles along the coast & is home for many rare birds & is a 'stop over' for migratory birds.
Within easy distance are Tavira (regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve), Estoi (with its Rocco palace & Roman ruins), Olhao (wonderful fishing town, markets & excellent shops & restaurants) & Villa Real 16th century town on the Spanish border. From the Quinta you can reach Lisbon in 2.5 hours & Seville in less than 2 hours.
Various Water parks & Zoo marine (Sea lion & Dolphin shows) are within a 45 - 60 min drive.
The nearest shops are in the village of Moncarapacho approx 3 km away. Moncarapacho is a warren of shops, restaurants, bars, daily market, petrol station, Internet cafe, cash machines, post office, pharmacy, Museum & lots more. It's the real unspoilt Portugal.
