Burgau is situated 15 minutes west of Lagos and 15 minutes east of Sagres, the furthest southern west point of Europe. Nearby activities include - tennis, horse-riding, mountain-bike hire, golf, diving, walking, bowling, archery, and a gym health and beauty spa at the famous Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort (where instruction can be arranged for all of the above). Other activities include fishing, windsurfing and many other water sports. The Burgau sports centre is also close by and runs a varied programme including lots of childrens activities.
There are many beaches along the south coast, all safe for swimming, or if you really want to get away from it all, 15 minutes west you can find many wild and rugged beaches along the 'Costa Vincent' coast line. In the village of Burgau there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars to enjoy with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Lagos is close by for more nightlife.
