Famagusta is a further 20 minutes, and has all the shops, banks and amenities you would expect to find in a large town.By the coast road to the south of Kantara you can easily get to the Karpaz National Park, and the most spectacular (and often deserted) beaches on the island. To the north of Kantara, 20 minutes drive down the mountain brings you to Kaplica with its long and sandy stretch of beach, rock pools and some uniquely beautiful rock formations. Area information:	Unless you plan your time at Kantara Haven to be one of perfect isolation from the outside world, a hire car is essential! We are happy to put you in touch with an excellent hire car company, who offer competitve rates and can also arrange your airport transfers (from Ercan or Larnaca). Due to the location you may find this is not ideal for children. The mountain roads are fairly well maintained, but narrow in places, so less confident drivers may find this location unsuitable. Bungalow accomodation with wheelchair ramps to front & rear access and rear terrace. Steps to woodland garden. Pls email if you have mobility concerns.
