Kyrenia is a fabulous shopping centre because the prices are good but also the Turks are great tailors and jewellers as well as being excelellent cooks. The island is full of historic sites and places of interest all at a short car ride away. From the villa the crusader castle of St Hilarion is clearly visible and in the cooler months about an hour's walk away. The beaches are unspoilt but at one or two of the large hotels all sorts of watersports and scuba diving is possible.
