Zahara de la Sierra is in Southern Spain on the border between the provinces of Andalucia and Cadiz, approximately 20 minutes drive from Ronda. Access by road is easy as the village is approximately 2km and visible from the main A376 Ronda to Seville highway.
Being in a mountain range the landscapes are rugged and dramatic with a great variety of wildlife including many large birds of prey. The area has remained unspoiled for centuries and retains its great historic links with the past with relics from the Roman and Moores eras.
A short drive away is the Mediterranean resort of San Pedro (50mins) . Seville (60mins), Jerez and Cadiz (60mins), Gibraltar (90mins) and Granada (120mins)Our two bedroom house was fully refurbished in 2004 and stands in a quiet part of the village overlooking a small fruit tree lined courtyard. It is an immaculate typical whitewashed Spanish village house with all modern fittings. The accommodation comprises on the ground floor; a shower room with toilet, washbasin, bidet and washing sink. A fully fitted kitchen with modern units/worktops, a hob/microwave oven, fridge freezer and gas water heater. The first floor has a beautiful living room with views over the square and a separate twin bedroom to the rear. On the second floor is another twin bedroom with views over the village rooftops and valley below.The decor is typically Spanish.
