The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The unspoilt sandy beaches are only 10 mins walk away with 3 chiringuitas (traditional Spanish beach restaurants often specialising in fish).
The spectacular port and Marina are only a few mins walk away and have an abundance of restaurants serving both local and international food.
At night people promenade up and down alongside the harbour and often walk the short distance to the next town of Sabinillas, a very typical Spanish town, with its many Spanish bars and restaurants often serving delicious assortment of tapas .
Duquesa area
The local towns of La Duquesa, and Sabinillas are only 5 mins drive away.
Estepona is only 15 mins drive away and maintains a distinctly Spanish flavour.
Stylish Puerto Banus and Marbella only 25 mins away.
The area is rich in culture and has some of the most splendid mountain scenery including the beautiful white pueblo hill towns of Casares, Gaucin, and Ojen.
The famous town of Ronda is just an hour's drive away.
Historic Seville is 2 hours drive away. Sabinillas the local Spanish town has plenty of banks, pharmacies and supermarkets.
Local markets abound and there is a small market in the port each week, and on Sundays in Estepona port and Sabinillas there are much larger markets selling a huge selection of goods at excellent prices.
Puerto Banus is awash with designer shops, whilst ‘La Canada’ shopping centre near Marbella has a huge amount of international shops.
To the west ‘Los Barrios’ is a large discount shopping village with many famous names selling goods at a fraction of their full price.
