The centre of the city is 40 minute by car away. 3 km (or 2 miles) to the open-air Museum of Ethnography: ancient stone idols are on display in the museum,the Zashiverskaya wooden church built without a single nail.Lodgok is the small village of 20 houses surrounded by hills (green in summer :)) and trees. There is a forest near the village. 4,5 miles to Akademgorodok (district of Novosibirsk). Surrounded by the pine trees, the town of Akademgorodok has excellent ecology and world’s fame as the scientific center of Siberia. It houses more than 15 universities and 43 institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
