Area information:	Benalmadena Costa also has its own casino, night club where they have several international shows including a magic show and wonderful golf course. There is a garden of over 200,000 square metres, overlooking the sea. La Paloma Park has a large lake, stocked with various water birds and is beautiful to walk round, have a coffee at their caf�, or just take a book and read. Next to the park is the Feria ground where the flea market is held and Selwo Marina in close proximity. It covers a large site with various well-presented shows and exhibition areas featuring dolphins, sea lions, penguins, crocodiles, snakes and exotic birds and offers an excellent day-out for all the family. Easter Week, live presentation of the Passion of Christ in the Pueblo February 28th - Andalucia Day (everything Spanish closed) 24th-29th June. Arroyo de la Miel celebrates John the Baptist with a local fair Mid-August, Virgin of the Cross festivities with a fair in the Pueblo July 16th, evening boat procession on the Costa for Velilla del Carmen The railway station for Benalmadena is located in Arroyo de la Miel, close to the Tivoli Theme Park. Trains run from here to Fuengirola and Malaga. Train travel is cheap and very efficient. The coastal bus service runs along the seafront road. There is also an excellent circular service running between the village and the port. Arroyo de la Miel has a flea market on a Wednesday. There is also a market at Tivoli World on a Sunday morning.Benalmadena has a municipal council that promotes all the Festivities with Carnivals and processions. Easter, Holy Week, the Passion of Christ and Corpus Christi which is traditional throughout Spain especially in the South of Spain. Even St. Patricks Day is celebrated in Arroyo de la Miel with the town Plaza taken over for the Irish celebrations. Malaga festival is the beginning of August, and Benalmadena is about the 2nd week of August. If you leave at night for Puerto Marina should know these recommended sites covers the Corry Konnings Bar, Pub Maracas, Mana Pub Pacino's ,Mango and Joy Disco ... among others . Torrequebrada is perfectly situated for exploring the Costa del Sol. Sierra Nevada is just 2 hours away. At our villa you can have a sunny BBQ outside in winter one day and ski the next! The ski slopes of Sierra Nevada are 2,000 metres higher and hosted the 1999 World Championships offering 6 green, 24 blue, 26 red and 4 black slopes. It has artificial snow when necessary and its lifts can carry over 31,000 people an hour. It goes from 2,100 to 3,300 metres in altitude and is the most southerly skiing in Europe. It has excellent road access and huge underground car park.
